Can we rely on Rosick-note any longer?

When Tomas Rosicky signed for Arsenal around the time of the World Cup in 2006, hs reputation was that of one of the best creative midfielders in Europe.

His goals agaist the USA underlined the fact that Arsene Wenger had signed one talented player - and at a typically Arsenal-esque bargain price as well!

But I'm now at the point where I believe we should cut our losses and sell him. As soon as possible.

We have Nasri, Vela and Walcott who can play wide, and Mark Randall and Kieran Gibbs who certainly have the promise to justify being given a chance, if only as understudies. And then there's Manu Eboue (heaven forbid!)

Rosicky is probably on a high salary as well, given his status, and although I would love him to be one of the players whose experience guides our youngsters to new heights, I cannot help thinking that we will never get even 30 Premiership games out of him in a season.

And after missing most of the second half of the last campaign, he's admitted that he will not be back with the first team until the start of the season: "I know I'll miss the start of the club season. According to plans I should be back on the field in September."

So Arsene, let's get rid of him, free up more space for a fitter performer, and bring someone in we can rely on for the entire season, not just in fits and starts.

Don't be a tush. This guy is a special talent. Plus his attitude is tip top. Sack the medical staff instead.

Spot on Mean Lean, its frustrating to have a gem like him constantly injured and not useful. It kills me to say this because he is not only a class act but a lovely lad as well. But at some point we will have to make a decision and your suggestion is as good as they come.

I can understand your frastration but we have to give him one more season! Aparently his knee injury will be settled once and for all now!!
I love thomas and i really hope he has an injury free season. If he does you will be eating your words.
If not maybe it will be time to cash out on him next season

I know he is injury prone but selling him is crazy b/c Remember last year at the beginning of the season he was the player who upped(ignited) the tempo it was critical for everyone. Moreover he has experience in premier league which is critical for the team because players in his position(Nasri,Vela,Ramsey etc) lack the experience and premier league experience. The other thing is that he a major goal threat which is not the major talents of other mid fielders in team.World Class talent it would be enough if he played 20-25 premier league games and guide the youngsters(role model)

the blogs name is 'Arsenal Addict'... is it a reflection of the author being an addict to bullshit!!!??? do people like you really write such articles because they are bored? i mean we keep questioning our players, our manager, our board and at times the whole arsenal club.. yet they never question our loyalty and support... seriously man, go support another team.....

Thanks for that, True Gooner. I trust you'll be at Barnet today, cheering the side on.

Hopefully, we all want the same thing...to see Arsenal win, to see investment and development in equal quantities and to see some loyalty from players who, as this blog has identified, often go for the money rather than stay and fight to help the club achieve.

Guys hello !!!!

We need Tomas... Sure he will be a little out of sorts at the start of the season but he has class and experience. We need to ease him into the first half of the season !!! And for the second half hopefully he will re-ignite our team and our many younger players to the title. !!

He is one of the few players we have that is over 25 now.

Remember when Tomas was playing well last year ?? ( and we we on top of the table??) Flamini was just a bench warmer for him!!

premature. rosicky still good, injuries happen. what the team needs is a couple of world class players who bring experience to match our youth and inspire the club. it's perfectly ok to question and critisize the club when the intent is to see the club improve. the pollyannas out there who critisize any who question the club just don't add much. blind loyalty is more blind than loyal.

I think as Arsenal supporters we have critisized the club too much !!

We lost v. Persie, Eduardo at a critical stages. Thats our 2 best supporting strikers out. HOW UNLUCKY WERE WE ???? and not to mention rosicky, sagna.

I as much as any arsenal supporter want the silverware and would love the big names players if they were available.

I believe in Arsene.
