Your Shout > Is there always going to be one rule for united & one for the rest of us?

Saturday was my annual trip to Emirates and I was glad to be part of the whole atmosphere for the day. It was a tight and tense affair with our usual peppering of the goals with little return (for a change). There was the light hearted monents when the ball neither went in over the line nor did it go out of play. Yet we won and for that i am glad. However leaving the ground I was hoping ofr at least a draw between utd and spurs and for the rest of the evening I became a "fan" of our london rivals (ouch who threw that!).
I went back to my flat and eventually got the results. Darn 2-0. Went out for something to eat. Came back to hear there was, yet again controversy in a Utd game. Typical. But no more were Utd corect to profit from their chance of luck, than Gomez was at fault to "NOT PLAY THE WHISTLE". leaving the ball down and then stepping back? Sure he may as well have gone home had a shower and come back. The same thing was going to happen - no whistle , no free, kick the ball out. But in making his decision, Clattenburg waved away all spurs players, yet it was ok for RIO to stand in on the meeting. Nani fell handled it and still scored. Again luck of the Utd. Has it become the case now that refs are afraid of the "wriggleys chewing gum"? is it time to get in foreign refs for such games? I think that Spurs were their own worst enemies for that goal but there were elements of utd luck at play once again.
